Inez Perry

Inez Deale Perry, aged 86, passed away on March 13, 2026 in Spotsylvania, Virginia, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 23, 1939, she lived a life centered on the love of her close-knit family and a quiet generosity that touched everyone around her.

A beloved figure in her church and local community, Inez was affectionately known as the “candy lady” on Sundays. She found great pleasure in preparing her cherished recipes to share at fellowship gatherings and family meals. While she formed many meaningful connections, her deepest joy remained her small but devoted family, whose strong bond was the heart of her world.

She was the devoted wife and best friend of her husband, Crismond Perry, for 52 years until his passing. Inez was also preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Ella Mae Deale; her sisters, Arlene Curtis, Mary Catlett, Doris Brooks, Ruby Lee Hall, Elnor Dodd, and Helen Brooks; and her brothers, Robert “Bob” Deale and Delmas Deale.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Smith; son-in-law, Carlton Smith; granddaughter, Skyler Heishman (Michael); and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who held a special place in her heart. Inez will be remembered for her selfless spirit and her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ.
