Inez Faillace ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center on Mar. 17, 2026.Inez Marie Faillace, 85, of Avon, beloved wife of the late Joseph Faillace, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born in Rocky Hill, daughter of the late Ermo and Marion (Markette) Pia, she was raised in Rocky Hill. Inez earned her BA from Annhurst College, a MA from Central CT State University, and her 6th Year Certificate from St. Joseph College, West Hartford. Her entire career was spent teaching elementary education in Avon; first in the original Tow Path School and retired from the Pine Grove Elementary School. Inez was highly creative; a talent that helped expose her students to more of the arts. She enjoyed drawing, painting in watercolors and oils and did shows with the Arts in Action Program. Inez enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid runner in her younger years. She was particularly proud to have won the Bonnie Bell Cosmetics Race in her age category. She also enjoyed reading, nature, and bird watching.She is survived by her son David J. Faillace and his wife Sarah of Avon; her sister Lorraine Guile of Ft. Meyers, FL; and two nephews.Her family will receive friends Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:30- 11:00 at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Rod, Avon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to St. Mary Church, Simsbury in Inez memory.
