Moline, IL
Ina J. Kramer, 93, of Moline, Illinois, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.
Born Ina Jane Whitman on July 7, 1932, in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Emil and Edna (Berg) Whitman. She graduated from Prairie Farm High School and began her career working in the office at Bendix. On April 25, 1953, she married the love of her life, Keith Kramer, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. Keith preceded her in death on December 21, 2015.
Ina was an active member of a women’s bowling league, the Friend’s Circle Club, and the Viking Club. She had a true green thumb, nurturing plants both inside and outside her home, and was an exceptional seamstress who also enjoyed oil painting. She loved to cook, and her children fondly recalled that her fried chicken was unlike any other. Her upbringing in the Wisconsin countryside inspired a lifelong passion for baking, especially fresh bread and cinnamon rolls. She treasured her time with her dogs and cherished family vacations spent fishing in Wisconsin. While at Hope Creek, she faithfully attended biweekly services.
Ina is survived by her children, Richard (Laurie Beardsley) Kramer of Moline, Illinois, Rhonda (Ron) Schuldt of Rock Island, Illinois, Michael Kramer of West Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and Sheila Ristow of Moline, Illinois; grandchildren, Shawn Welch, Nathan Kramer, Jaymie (Eric) Clark, Bryan (Melissa) Schuldt, Zachary Schuldt, Ethan Kramer, Kate (Bradley) Mahoney-McGuire, Seth Kramer, and Emma Kramer; great-grandchildren, Aiden Welch, Zaida Welch, Blade Welch, Ella Schuldt, Everson Schuldt, and Teddy Mahoney-McGuire; sister, Pat Martin of Davis, California; brother, Clifford Whitman of Prairie Farm, Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Edna Whitman; siblings, Robert (Violet) Whitman and LeRoy (Carol) Whitman; siblings-in-law, Paul Martin and Judy Whitman; and a great-grandchild, Claire Mahoney-McGuire.
