IMELDA RAMIREZ GONZALEZ

Imelda Ramirez Gonzalez, born on November 20, 1968, in Jalisco, Mexico, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Los Angeles, California. The eldest of eight children, she embraced that role with strength and devotion throughout her life.

Imelda dedicated 29 years to the aerospace industry at Cast Rite Corporation, where her diligence and resilience earned her the respect of colleagues she considered an extended family. Known for her unwavering work ethic, she gave her best even in times of personal illness. A woman of bold honesty and transparency, she was the life of every gathering, loving to dance and share occasional drinks with family and friends. She was the trusted keeper of secrets and the one others turned to for comfort and wise counsel.

Family remained at the center of Imelda’s world. She deeply cherished her mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, children, and seventeen grandchildren. She delighted in preparing pozole and pancakes for large family meals and treasured visits to her grandson in Bakersfield, whom she affectionately called her “Lagartijo.” Her adventurous spirit led her on travels that included a meaningful return to Hawaii last year—her first since arriving in the United States as a five-year-old child—as well as frequent trips to Las Vegas and camping excursions at Las Cañadas Campamento in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

Preceded in death by her spouse of 28 years, who passed in November 2020, and her father, who passed in April 2019, Imelda leaves behind eight children and seventeen grandchildren who will carry forward the love, strength, and values she instilled. Her warm presence, steadfast support, and culinary legacy will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
