Ilene Ann Davis

Ilene Ann Davis (nee Mattson), born May 13, 1949, passed unexpectedly on March 9, 2026, at the age of 76.

She was the beloved mother of Tracey (Bradford) Iding and Cory (Jonathan) Zylstra, and the adored grandmother of Maya, Olivia, Kate and Ella Iding, and Marley and Max Zylstra. Ilene is also survived by her sister-in-law Karen Mattson, Barb (Jack) McGill, her dearest friend Suzie Wendorf, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Al, her brother Gary Mattson, and her parents Lew and Lorraine Mattson.

A graduate of Custer High School in 1967, Ilene began her real estate career in 1979 at Robedeaux Realty, which later became Prudential Preferred Properties and then First Weber. For 35 years she served as the heart of the administrative office, organizing golf outings, company retreats, and awards ceremonies while becoming a beloved colleague and friend to many. She retired as Vice President of Administration in 2014.

Ilene met Al through work, and they married in 1989. Together they shared many joyful trips to Destin, Las Vegas, and St. Germain, and took great pride in their role as grandparents. Her greatest happiness in retirement was watching her grandchildren grow, cheering them on at soccer games, basketball games, band performances, and school events. She especially cherished her time Up North at their home on Lost Lake in St. Germain, where she created countless memories with her family—fishing, playing games, and gathering at favorite local spots.

Ilene will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her warm compliments to friends and strangers alike, and the loving way she always made sure her family heard her say “love you more.” She will be thought of often, missed terribly, and celebrated always.
