Ida Elizabeth Neal

Ida Elizabeth Neal, 93, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Lifecare of Orange Park, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 2, 1932, in Macon, North Carolina, to Garland and Louise Overby, Elizabeth lived a long life marked by quiet strength and deep devotion to those she loved.

She shared 72 years of marriage with her husband, Billy L. Neal, who predeceased her. Elizabeth is survived by her younger brother, Alton Overby of Greensboro, North Carolina; her daughter, Judy Metzger, and son-in-law, Donnie B. Metzger; her son, Billy L. Neal Jr.; her grandson, Donnie B. Metzger, and his wife, Sabina; and her two great-grandsons.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the family estate in Warrenton, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
