Hugh Kane

Hugh Kane, age 93, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, he came to the United States in 1956 and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a skilled carpenter and was deeply proud to be an American.

Hugh was a genuinely kind and compassionate man who held a profound love for his family. He shared 63 cherished years with his beloved wife, Joan (nee Witter). He was a loving father to Carrie Fitzhugh (Sterling) and Sean Kane (Ishina), a proud grandfather to Justin (Leah), Ryan (Rebecca), Seth, and Ileah, and a great-grandfather to Nora, Rosie, and Alec, who will be born shortly. He is also survived by his brother Harry Kane. He was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.

His family will remember him for the warmth, compassion, and quiet strength he brought to their lives.
