Hudson “Doc” Wade Maurer

Hudson “Doc” Wade Maurer completed his brief race on earth on March 6, 2026. Though he spent only 27 days with his family, his tiny presence filled those around him with a depth of love that words could scarcely measure. Named after the beloved racer Doc Hudson, he brought quiet joy through simple moments—being held close, nestling into warm arms, and watching colored lights shift and glow.

Hudson’s short life left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His little feet touched the earth only briefly, yet the love he gave remains enduring. He is remembered as perfect in the eyes of those who cherished him, and the gentle impact of his presence continues to echo in the lives he touched.

He is lovingly survived by his brother, Clayton Maurer; sister, Abigail Maurer; father, Marc Maurer; and mother, Trinity McCarty. He is also survived by his Pop Pop, Rick McCarty; Grammy, Kathy McCarty; Paw Paw Nick and CiCi Christa Warren; uncle Ethan Moreau and aunt Aspen Moreau; aunt and uncle Jerod and Brittany McCarty; cousins Jacob, Jordan, Charlie, Matthew, Scarlett, and Blessing McCarty; uncle Tanner McCarty; aunt Sandra McCarty; and cousins Solomon and Trevin McCarty.

Hudson was welcomed into heaven by his grandfather Jack Wayne McCarty, grandmother Charlotte Grace McCarty, grandpa Blaine Wade Maurer, and uncle Sonny Wade Maurer.
