Horace Rigdon

Horace Rigdon of Decatur, Mississippi, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 75. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose quiet strength and love for the outdoors left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Rigdon; his two sons, John Horace Rigdon and James Ricky Rigdon; his sister, Ruby Lucille Savell; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his memory.

Horace found great joy in fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, and playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Clora Rigdon; his beloved daughter, Lisa; his brother, Harold Rigdon; his brother-in-law, Jobie Savell; and his son-in-law, Dave Garner.
