Homer Terry Cornish

Homer Terry Cornish, age 94, died peacefully at his Sunnyside home in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on March 7, 2026. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his children, Jennie and Trent, and his grandchildren, Ryan and Caroline. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice, and his second wife, LaRue.

For forty years, Homer served as a faithful Presbyterian minister, teaching countless people to love God, to worship, and to express their faith through singing and playing the piano. After retiring from the ministry, he continued to serve others through his church, Presbyterian Missions, Sunnyside, and Heifer International, where he volunteered on many occasions.

Homer’s life will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him. He now rests beside his beloved wife Alice in Front Royal, Virginia. In keeping with his wishes, donations may be made to the Heifer Foundation in his memory.
