Holly May Maurice

Holly May Maurice of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, passed away on March 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Rocky Hill, she was preceded in death by her parents, Gardiner and Bernice Maurice, and her brother, radio and television host Dick Maurice of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Holly graduated from Rocky Hill High School with the Class of 1979. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Manager of the Town of Rocky Hill and for the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. She is remembered for her positive attitude, warm smile, and infectious goodwill that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves behind her partner and best friend, Thomas Ayres, Jr., and her extended family of beloved rescued felines. She is also survived by Don and Noreen Roberts of Florida and numerous other relatives. Holly found deep connection in the community of the Rocky Hill United Methodist Church and received compassionate care from many dedicated healthcare professionals, including Dr. Patricia DeFusco of Oncology and Joshua Croen of Hartford Hospital, as well as the nurses, aides, and staff at Apple Rehab in Cromwell.
