Hiqmete was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Arshi Alushaj; her children, Edlir (Brizilda) Alushaj, Albana (Edmond) Ceqi, Anila (Edmond) Dosti, and Mirjana (Ilirjan) Aliaj; and her cherished grandchildren, Elis Ceqi, Aron Ceqi, Erisa (Stewart) Dosti Smith, Andi (Jessica) Dosti, Fatjona (Joshua) Aliaj, and Enela (Nicholas) Aliaj-Batt. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Killian Dosti, Ema Smith, and Landon Aliaj-Batt.
Hiqmete was preceded in death by her parents, Fize and Izet Balili.
