He was born in Nashua on May 20, 1942, the son of the late Herbert T. Merrill Sr. and Lois (Cudhea) McLaughlin.He was the loving husband of the late Constance "Connie" (Neveu) Merrill. They were married on January 4, 1964.Herbert grew up in Nashua and was a graduate of Nashua High School. He worked for many years as a machinist at International Shoe Machine. He had a love for adventure, enjoying mountain climbing, cross-country skiing, dirt bike riding, and visiting national parks across the country with his family. Herbert was also an avid go-kart racer, often building parts for his kart, and he enjoyed working on and modifying his cars for performance.Aside from his parents, Herbert was predeceased by his wife Connie, their daughter Stacie Blanchette, his twin brother Peter Merrill, and his sister Gael Romei.He is survived by his daughter Kristine Gauthier and her husband Mike; his grandchildren Justin, Leah, Kacie, and Nicky; and his great-grandchildren Raven, Rowan, and Autumn, with another great-grandchild, Hazel, on the way.SERVICES: A period of visitation will be held at a date and time to be determined at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH.
