Herbert M. Buettner Jr., age 80, of Beechview, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Eileen T. (Synan) Buettner. Loving father of Kelly (David) Roberts and Kerry (Ryan) Krane. Loving Pap of Cody, Courtney, Isabella and Connor. Beloved son of the late Herbert M. Sr, snd Rita (Langdon) Buettner. Dear brother of Diane (The late John) Gerhardt, Kenneth Buettner, Elaine (The late Patrick) Crawley and Thomas (Peg) Buettner. Also survived by Nieces and Nephews. Herbert was a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer, retiring in 1996 after 26 years of service. He loved vacationing with family and spending time with his Grandchildren. Family and friends welcome on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1660 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220 where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:30 am. Burial with Full Military Honors to follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 pm.
