Herbert Louis Williams, Jr., 70, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on March 14, 2026. A native of Gainesville, Florida, he was the son of Herbert Louis Williams, Sr. of Greer, South Carolina, and the late Dorothy Pollard. Herb worked for many years at Big Rock, Inc. He found great joy in music, writing, and poetry, and was a longtime attendee of Fairview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Herbert Louis Williams, Sr.; three sons, Matthew Williams (Maham), Tim Williams (Rachel Bogdan), and Herbie Williams, all of Florida; two brothers, John Williams (Priscillia) of Greer, South Carolina, and Tom Williams (Sandy) of Ohio; one grandson, Josh Williams; and one brother-in-law, Paul Howell of Greer, South Carolina. He was predeceased by his sister, Karen Howell.
Herb will be remembered for his creative spirit and the quiet love he held for his family and the things that moved him. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
