He was the beloved husband of 53 years to the former Mary Jayne McCarthy.Born October 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Eugene and Elizabeth Walsh Biglin and a graduate of South Catholic High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Scranton for 35 years in the Single Tax Office. After retiring, he became an active member of the community at the John Marshall Apartments.Hank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop", and he greatly enjoyed spending time with them. His presence and quick wit will be deeply missed by his family and friends.Hank's family would like to thank the staff of Allied Services Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during the last few months of his life. A special thanks to Dan, Karrie, Kelly, Angela, Natalie, and Dawn, for going above and beyond, who are true angels on EarthAlso surviving are his daughters, Mollie Cosgrove and her husband, Patrick, and Bridget Frounfelker and her husband, Michael; five grandchildren, Abigail and Patrick Cosgrove, and Ella, Nora, and Lila Frounfelker; two brothers, Paul Biglin and his wife, Maureen, and Eugene Biglin and his wife, Kathie; two sisters, Alice Hopkins and Mary Jeanne Riviello and her husband, Francis; brothers-in-law William McCarthy Jr. and his wife, Sandy, and Kevin McCarthy and his wife, Debbie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.The funeral will be held Friday, March 20, with Mass at noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram St., followed by the interment of his ashes in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until Mass time at the chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allied Services Hospice Center, 511 Morgan Highway.Arrangements are entrusted to the Neil W.
