Henry E. Hoffman, age 98, of Trenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2026. Born on February 4, 1928, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Henry served in the United States Army during World War II as an X-ray technician at Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After his military service, he built a long and successful career as a metallurgical technician with Detroit Edison, retiring in 1990.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Henry cherished every moment spent with his family. He shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia, who preceded him in death. He was the loving father of Karen (David) Taylor, Nancy (Walt) Niewierski, Linda (Bob) Powell, Susan Owchinko, Joann (Kevin) Hill, Janet (Steve) Brown, Dave (Colleen) Hoffman, and Cathy (Dan) Ahearn. Henry was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is survived by his sisters Marguerite Cole, Martha Muzar, and Barbara Callahan. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Hoffman and his sister Evelyn Hoffman.
Henry will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his wonderful sense of humor. His life touched many, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
