Services will be held at Royer's New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri, on Friday, March 6, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.Kaye was born on December 28, 1953, in Independence, Missouri, to Marlin and Merdean (Marchant) Richardson. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1971. Later in life, while raising her family and working full time, she returned to college to study computer programming.She found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved quilting, searching for treasures at garage sales, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her quiet strength and dedication to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her.Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Ralph McCullen.She is survived by her siblings: Phyllis McCullen of Kansas City, MO, Willis Byram (Devon) of Blue Springs, MO, Johnny "John" Richardson (Janet) of Independence, MO; children: Dawn Price (Bryan) Depoe Bay OR, Jonetta Hopkins of Independence, MO, Cyndi Robinson (Eric) of Odessa, MO; six grandkids: Maggie Price, Breonna Hopkins, Jesse Clark, Nikki Clark, Kaylee Robinson and Daniel Robinson along with many people she considered to be her children and grandkids.Royer's New Salem Funeral Home ~ Independence, MO (816) 796-8600To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
