Helen Ruth Hegna

Helen Ruth Hegna, age 76, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 18, 1949 to the late Wilmer and Ruth Henson, Helen grew up surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Harwood Hegna; her sons, Robert (Elizabeth) Hegna and Jonathan Hegna; her daughter, Julianne (Ethan) Weber; her grandchildren, Wesley, Eleanor, Kody, Gwendolyn and Conrad; and her siblings, James Henson, Patricia Henson and David Henson.

After a long and fulfilling career in nursing and teaching, Helen remained an active and faithful member of Beavercreek Baptist Church, where her deep Christian faith guided her life. She was known for her kindness and her genuine investment in the well-being of her patients and loved ones.

In her free time, Helen found joy in gardening, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family. She held a special passion for visiting the beach and embraced life with remarkable energy, always eager to explore new places and experiences. Her loving and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
