Helen Mary Walsh

Helen M. Walsh, 86, of Shady Side, Maryland, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born on June 25, 1939, in Washington, DC, Helen was a devout Catholic who remained deeply dedicated to her family and friends throughout her life. She served as an administrative assistant with the Federal Government for 45 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Helen Elisabeth and David James, her son Ron Walsh, and her siblings Eleanor, David Jerome, John, and Joan. Helen is survived by her brother Joseph and sister-in-law Ruth Walsh, as well as Ron’s partner Samantha Metta and her son Tim Metta. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who will cherish her memory.
