Helen Marie Schultheis

Helen Marie Schultheis, 83, of Liberty Center, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at UTMC. Born in Dixon, Illinois, on December 18, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alvie “Shorty” and Brunell Madden.

On October 26, 1961, Helen married Arthur Schultheis in Dixon, Illinois. Together she and Art built their life in Liberty Center, raising their family there. She cherished quiet days fishing alongside her husband and shared with him a love for watching NASCAR races and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Art; sons Tony Schultheis, Greg Schultheis, and Kevin (Karen) Schultheis; grandchildren Chase (Jennifer) Schultheis, John (Jessica) Schultheis, Jennifer Schultheis, Keiffer (Amber) Schultheis, Marrissa Schultheis, and Miah Schultheis; and great-grandchildren Taylor, Mila, and Cora. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Chuck Madden, Barbara Kemp, Joyce Cover, and Patricia Schultheis.
