Helen Louise Wright

Helen Louise Wright, 84, of Commiskey, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 23, 1942, in Junction City, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Luther and Bessie Lunsford. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who spent her life caring for those she loved. A nurturing caregiver and homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home where family always came first. Her kindness, quiet strength, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

A faithful member of Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing, Indiana, Helen was also a lifelong University of Kentucky fan who took great joy in cheering on the Wildcats. She cherished visits to the casino boat and, above all, treasured the time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Wright, and four siblings. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William “Bill” Wright Sr.; her daughter, Pamela McIntosh (Herbert); her sons, Bill Wright Jr. (Carla) and Daniel Wright; eight grandchildren, Amber McIntosh White (Dan), Levi McIntosh (Heather), Luchin, Darbi, Gunnar, Jacob, Bailey, and Marla; and great-grandchildren Jaden, Waylon, Emily, Remington, Bill, and Kaden.
