She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie McCumber and Helen McCumber; and her brother Richard McCumber. She is survived by: her husband Richard Elder; her sons, Dustin Elder (Wendy) and Shannon Elder (Lee Ann); and her sisters, Patricia Carver and Nyla Naramore. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Granby Memorial Cemetery (1306 S Main St, Granby, MO 64844).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful support of their caring staff these last few years with Helen.
