Helen LaGrone Whitlock

In loving memory of Helen LaGrone Whitlock of Greenwood, South Carolina, who departed this world on March 8, 2026 at the age of 94. Helen leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Whitlock; her parents, Adger S. King, Sr. and Katie Mae Ard King; her son Darrell Lagrone; and her siblings, Adger King Jr., Palmer King, Huey King, Kathleen Enlow, Ruth Staley, Lucille Rhodes and Christine Still.

She is survived by: her children, Jeffery W. Lagrone (Holley) and Judy Lagrone Corriher; her stepson Phil Whitlock; her sister Sue Smith; her grandchildren, Anna Katherine Lagrone (Mark), Nathaniel Lagrone, Jack Lagrone, William Lagrone, Mary-Helen Eppelsheimer (Tom) and Emily Corriher; her great grandchild Eliot Eppelsheimer (Judah); and her great great grandchild Mack Eppelsheimer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens (3302 US-25, Hodges, SC 29653).
