She was predeceased by: her parents, Zennie Dial and Malinda Lodema Dial (Doty); her former husband William O. Smith; her husband Norbert H. Korte; and her brother Charles Dial.

She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy (David Goodin) of Vandalia and Zena (Thomas Richardson) of Ramsey; her sisters, Carrie Dodson of Effingham, Fairy Kline of St. Elmo and Cora Miley of St. Elmo; her grandchildren, Mindy File (Tom), Crystal Stilt (John), Zennia Wooden (Brad), William Muma (Laura), Amanda Wheeler (Chauncey), Scott Richardson (Tiffani) and Kayla Morgan (D. J.); and her great grandchildren, Courtney Hartupee (Timothy), Andrew Gaylord (Alecia), Kelly Moore (John), Andy Stilt, Joey Stilt (Kaila), Breese Mooney (Brinden), Mistie Barker (Josh), David Stilt, Brad Wooden Jr., Kenzie Wooden, Anthony Snow (Kat), Brandan Snow (Makya), Shayla Weischedel (Michael), Gavin Muma (Vivien), Brantley Richardson, Kaylin Morgan, Chauncey Wheeler Jr., John Wheeler, McKenzie Wheeler, Adalynn Wheeler and Ayah Wheeler. She is also survived by numerous great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Et Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Ltd. (204 N 4th St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
