Helen Joyce Garrett

Helen Joyce Garrett of Raceland, Louisiana passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born in Posey County, Indiana, she later made her home in south Louisiana, where she lived for many years.

She was happily married for more than 59 years to the late Herbert Russell Garrett. Helen will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her deep devotion to her family, and the love she shared so generously throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Garrett Zeringue (Malcolm) and their children, Ashley and Andrew; Melea Joyce Garrett (Christopher Sunderland); and Terri Garrett Gautreaux (Craig) and their children, Alyssa Segura Rhodes (Corey) and Alex Gautreaux (Kylie). She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Katelynn, Adeline, and Elliana Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her husband and her granddaughter, Ashley.
