Helen Hall

d. 2026

Oakwood, OH

Helen Ann Hall, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 11, 2026, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 16, 1949, in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Ruby Dukes and Smith Hurley, Helen married the love of her life, Kenneth Hall, at the age of 16. The couple welcomed their only child, Tammy, one year later and shared 59 devoted years together.

Helen began her working life at Campbell’s Soup Company before devoting herself to her family as a homemaker. She cared deeply for her husband, daughter, and Kenny’s siblings, treating them as her own and filling their childhood summers with love and laughter. An avid reader who especially enjoyed biographies, she also cherished her animals, particularly her beloved cat, Baby. Helen’s generous spirit led her to regularly gather supplies from food pantries to help those in need. She possessed a remarkable sense of humor and took genuine delight in making others laugh, creating memories filled with joy and lightness for everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy (Todd) Fedele; five grandchildren, Gabriel Fedele, Abigail (Gabriel) Martinez, Lydia (Sam) Mock, Christopher Fedele, and Todd (Chirilyn) Fedele; and seven great-grandchildren, Liam Martinez, Cecelia Rocha, Sadie Mock, Albert Mock, Asher Mock, Sophia Mock, Oliver Mock, Caitlyn Fedele, Caliah Fedele, and Todd Fedele III. Helen is also survived by her brothers, Herb (Martha) Hurley, Brian (Dana) Dukes, Bruce (Dianne) Dukes, and Larry (Kelly) Hurley; sisters-in-law, Sandy Dukes and Judy Hurley; and brother-in-law, Al Rohda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Dukes, Edwin Dukes, and Smith Hurley; her sister, Sheila Phillips; and her brothers, Jimmy Hurley, Duane Dukes, and Smith Hurley.
