Helen Bernice Finley

Helen Bernice Finley, 84, of Columbus, passed away March 6, 2026.

Helen was born January 30, 1942, in Red Jacket, West Virginia, to Elmer and Bertha Pack.

Helen had a special way of making everyone feel like family. She was an incredible cook and loved preparing meals for the people she loved. Her home was always a place where family gathered, stories were shared, and everyone felt welcome. She loved her family deeply and had a special place in her heart for her dogs. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Helen is survived by her children, Sheila Hatfield and Dennis (Kelly) Finley Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa (Nicole) Finley, Mindie Simpson, Leanna (Chris) McCauslin, Sabrina Finley (Andrew Benyo), Phil (Celeste) Finley, Abby (Dylan) D’Errico, and Molly Gribben.Great grandchildren, Gavin and Dalynn Byerly Finley, Jordan Simspon, Kristian, Mackynzie and Kimberlynn Young, Christopher and Serenity McCauslin, Liam and Isabelle Whitley, Baylor Benyo, Alisa and Mason Finley, Lennox and Luca Finley.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis L. Finley Sr; her parents, Elmer and Bertha Pack; her daughter, Donna Finley; and her grandchildren, Amanda Simpson and Dennis L. Finley III.

A graveside service will be held March 10, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at Glen Rest Cemetery, 8029 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
