Helen Anne Marsh

Helen Anne Marsh, 91, formerly of Clark Lake, Michigan, passed away on March 5, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 8, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Charles and Esther (Stachlewitz) Francis, Helen married the love of her life, Michael Marsh Sr., on July 3, 1964, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The couple shared 51 wonderful years together until Michael’s passing in 2016.

A woman of deep and quiet faith, Helen was once drawn to life as a Cloistered Contemplative Nun before choosing marriage and family. She was known for her strong character, generous spirit, and charismatic presence. Always willing to help those in need, Helen expressed her love through thoughtful gestures, particularly shopping for beautiful things for her family. She possessed a legendary sweet tooth for chocolate and embraced life with an open mind, willingly trying new experiences alongside her children simply to be part of their world. She and Michael created lasting memories through family camping trips and memorable road adventures. Helen delighted in decorating for holidays, whether at home or while camping, and found her greatest joy in baking, attending family events, and sharing in worship.

She is survived by her children, Michele (Samir) Hamid, Michael Marsh II, Sheila Stanley, Jason Marsh, Melissa Lowell, and Barry (Kristen) Marsh; her grandchildren, Joshua, Nichole, Alicia, Sarah, Torri, Barry, David, Collin, Renee, Nathaniel, Emily, Evan, Brittany, Mark, Anthony, David, Marissa, Olivia, Andrew, Adam, Noah, Zachary, Curtis, Ethan, Elijah, Samantha, and Joey; and 13 great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esther; her husband, Michael; her son, Adrian Marsh; and her son-in-law, Curt Stanley.
