She was predeceased by: her nephew Orrin Boatner. She is survived by: her parents, Joyce Gladin Melton and Rodney Melton; her son Skyler Brooks; her siblings, Holly Boatner, Angela Kallvig (John) and Joe Melton (Ire); her niece Ke-Airra Warren (Jacob); and her great-nephew Orrin Henegar.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church (702 Pleasant Valley Rd SE, Silver Creek, GA 30173). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
