She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Phelps and Grace Phelps; and her siblings, Earl Phelps, Mary Anderson, Pearl McReynolds and Donald Phelps.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Cole; her children, Edward Phelps (Jelena Browning) and Katherine Cole (Matthew Palmer); and her brother Bill Phelps.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rose Funeral (1421 N Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rose Mortuary (1421 N Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
