Hayden Warren McCurry

Hayden Warren McCurry, age 26, of Seguin, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born on August 10, 1999, in New Braunfels, Texas, to Reanna Springs McCurry and Jamey McCurry, Hayden grew up with a strong sense of self and a warmth that drew others to him.

A 2018 graduate of Navarro High School, Hayden participated in sports, lettered in band, and formed many lasting friendships. He played on the drumline, enjoyed baseball and football, and was known for his humor and compassion. After high school, he worked at Caterpillar in Seguin before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He completed basic training, graduated from TAC-P School on April 26, 2024, earned his JTAC certification, and was stationed at Fort Stewart in June 2025 as a Senior Airman, where he trained with his unit.

Hayden was an animal lover who cherished his childhood companion, Roxy the Beagle. He had a passion for cars, especially Mustangs, and spent many hours with friends at car meets or working on vehicles in the driveway. He loved late-night online gaming, listening to music, being outdoors, shooting, occasional hunting, cooking, and trying new foods. His presence brought laughter and kindness to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Debbie Springs Froboese, Delroy Froboese, Debbie Barnes Fessler, and John W. Alvis.

Survivors include his mother, Reanna Springs McCurry; father, Jamey McCurry and wife Dawn; brothers, Ashton McCurry and wife Elizabeth and Zachurie Leadford; sister, Brooke Leadford; nephew, Walker McCurry; grandparents, Judy Alvis, Wayne McCurry and wife Janice, Jerry Springs, and Kenneth and Elizabeth Miller; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
