Hayden F. Grube, 96, of Pen Argyl, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hecktown Oaks. He was the husband of Mary G. (Pezzuto) Grube, with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.

Born in Pen Argyl on October 7, 1929, Hayden was the son of the late Floyd and Annie (Florey) Grube. A 1947 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, he served as co-captain of the football team and later honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for 41 years as Service Manager at the former Dietrich Chevrolet in Pen Argyl before retiring. Known for his helpful nature, he continued repairing items for neighbors and friends long after his retirement.

Hayden was a devoted supporter of Pen Argyl football and a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He is survived by his wife Mary, his son Jeffrey H. Grube and wife Susan of Walnutport, his daughter Rosemary Grube and partner Jill of Hellertown, six grandchildren—Adam J. Grube, Nicole M. Verret, Cory F. Grube, Haley K. Heebner, Patricia Bechtel, and Ashley Bechtel—and six great-grandchildren: Lena, Hannah, Maura, Logan, Aaron, and Cole. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Grube.
