Haskell Miller ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home - Nashville Chapel on Mar. 14, 2026.Haskell Young Miller Jr., 71, went home to be with Jesus on March 12, 2026, at Centennial Medical Center following a brief illness. He was peacefully surrounded by his family as he entered his eternal home.Known as a quiet and very smart man, Haskell was the most generous person one could know. He was a great provider who led his family with wisdom and strength and never complained, regardless of the task at hand. Following in his father's footsteps as a plumber, he took immense pride in his career at Vanderbilt University, where he retired after 22 years of dedicated service in Plant Operations.Haskell was a man of many gifts. He was a talented woodworker, notably crafting a beautiful wooden dollhouse for his daughters. He was also a gifted artist who expressed himself through drawing and painting, and a musician who played both the guitar and saxophone. His love for music began in his high school band and stayed with him throughout his life. At home, he was known for his homemade pizza, his passion for fishing, and cheering on his favorite team, the Tennessee Titans.Haskell's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Patsy Miller; his children, Kimberly (Scott) Frey, Crystal Crowson, and his son and best friend, Haskell Young Miller III.He was the proud grandfather of Brittini (Zach) Ranburger, Brandon (Julia) Frey, Carey (Austin) Bryant, Bradley Frey, and Cameron Crowson. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Carter Phillips, Axel Ranburger, Bentley Ranburger, Ellie, Declan, Brantley, and Braxton Bryant.Haskell is also survived by his loving mother, Ruby Lee Miller, and his sisters whom he loved dearly: Sandra (Bruce) Merritts, Elaine (Kent) Anderson, Sheila (Roger) Wynne, and Terri Sneed, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
