Hasen Ibro Usman

Hasen Usman, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Born on May 10, 1951, in Hulul, Ethiopia, to Rabia Ahmed and Usman Ibro, Hasen was the first person from his small village to leave home and pursue a formal education. In 1981, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Amarillo, where he worked at Tyson Foods for 28 years.

Hasen was deeply committed to helping others. He was known for his generosity in supporting Amarillo’s refugee community and for the quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Fatuma; his sons, Sean and his wife Brittany, and Adam and his wife Charisse; and his cherished grandchildren, Evan, Julia, Alexander, and Cameron.
