Harry Randolph Grimes

Harry Randolph Grimes, known affectionately as Randy, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on March 25, 1944, in Liberty, Texas, he was the son of Harry and Ella Grimes. Raised in Dayton, Randy developed a lifelong passion for learning and literature. He spent much of his childhood on the Rolke family farm, which led him to find purpose in ranching and the cattle industry, where he enjoyed riding horses and building lasting friendships among his fellow ranchers.

Randy cherished time with his family throughout his life. In retirement, he found simple joys in watching classic western movies alongside his pets, immersing himself in science fiction novels, and exploring theories about Bigfoot.

He is survived by his partner, Joyce Roberson; his devoted daughter, Jeanna Bure, and her husband, Burt Bure; his granddaughters, Brooke Bure-Sanchez and her husband, Victor Sanchez, and Taylor Bure and her husband, Joel Andrepont; and his great-grandson, Lucas Sanchez. Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
