Harry Olmstead Hurlburt, Jr, 95, of Lansdale, PA , passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. He was born April, 1930, in Abington, PA to Harry and Laura Hurlburt.
Harry matriculated from Abington High School and graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant and then served as a weapons instructor in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He married Sandra Hurlburt and had two sons, Harry (Chip) and Lee William (Bill).
Harry spent most of his career in procurement and contracting for technology businesses, retiring from Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in the 1990’s. He raised his family in Fort Washington, PA until retiring with Sandy to Meadowood in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. He was passionate throughout his life about woodworking, gardening and enjoyed the summer months at a family home on Fishers Island, NY where he and Sandy were active with the church community at Fishers Island Union Chapel.
Harry is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Chip (Teresa) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bill (Naomi) of Fort Washington, PA; grandchildren, Julia, Laura, Will and Sloane.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00am Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Joseph Levine & Sons 1002 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am
Burial will be private for the family only.
