Born in La Rochelle, France, he was the son of Raymond and Lillian Robishaw (Thomas). He was raised in Brockton, Massachusetts where he spent his formative years and developed deep pride in his roots. During his time in Brockton, he was known as a standout athlete, where he could be found at the Eastside pool every day in the summer, where he held swimming and diving records for many years. His passion for sports would remain with him throughout his life.Harry later made his home on Nantucket Island, where he built both a life and a livelihood, as owner of Harry's Mid Island Auto Supply store. He became a respected and successful business owner known not only for his work but for the care and loyalty he showed his customers. He was deeply committed to the people he served and would go to great lengths to help whoever he could.His love for athletics continued where he was actively involved in the islands' volleyball and softball leagues and eventually sponsored his own team. Sports remained one of the many ways he connected with friends and his community. He enjoyed coaching his son's little league team, a role that brought him great pride and allowed him to share his love of the game with the next generation.Harry embraced the Nantucket lifestyle. He loved the island's beaches, backyard barbeques, and the many gatherings that brought friends and family together. Whether it was Christmas parties or a surprise birthday party for a loved one, Harry took great joy in hosting and making sure everyone felt welcome.Harry also had a special place in his heart for children. Anyone in the family who has children can attest to the easy and genuine connection he shared. They always loved his trademark moustache. He had a passion for gardening and working in the yard, and in his later years was accompanied by his loyal companion Greer.Above all, Harry was devoted to his family. Harry is survived by his wife, Therese Robishaw (Pineau), his daughter, Jodie Reardon and husband Jon, and children, his son Harry Robishaw, and wife Lenka, whom he loved dearly. He was the brother of Linda Robishaw (Al), Karen Robishaw, Brenda Anderson and Robert Robishaw. He held deep affection for all his brothers/sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, and love for family/friends and the Nantucket community that welcomed him all those years ago.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 1-4 pm on Sunday, March 22nd at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 23rd at St John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 163 North Cary Street, Brockton.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry's memory to the American Lung Association at https://www.lung.org/ or the MSPCA at https://www.mspca.org/To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
