High Point, NC
Harry “Glenn” Burton, 80, of High Point, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Meridan Center. Born on March 9, 1945, in Klein, Texas, he was the son of the late Eugene Ball and Ruby Calloway Burton. Shortly after his father’s death, Glenn was adopted by the late Warren Burton. He grew up in High Point and spent his working life as a self-employed carpenter with Burton Builders.
Glenn was an avid golfer and active member of the High Point Seniors Golf Association. A lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, he also found great joy in music, playing the guitar and singing. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his love of the outdoors, and the quiet pride he took in his craft and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Persilla Littleton Burton; his stepson, Robert Wayne Patterson and wife Maria of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Courtney; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother, Gray Ball, and his stepson, Thomas Gene Patterson.
