She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brown and Mary Brown (Landseadel); her husband Robert L. Charles; and her son Scott Charles. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Charles of Bedford, Tracey Foddrill (Marc) of Bedford and Andrea Roberts (Dan) of Houston, Ohio; her daughter-in-law Arlisha Charles of Florida; her grandchildren, Amanda Perry (Danny), Lance Adams (Kayti), Hannah Martin (Channon), Willie Boruff (Sam), Tosha Charles, Drew Roberts (Sarah), Nevin Foddrill, Trisha Caves (Carl) and Eric East; and her brother Richard Brown (Mary). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
