Harriet Ann George

Harriet Ann George, 70, of Moyock, North Carolina, died of natural causes in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on March 4, 2026. Though her health had been in decline for several years, she faced each day with her characteristic humor and grateful spirit.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Robert and Maria George, Harriet outlived most of her family. She is survived by her brother, Andrew Samuel George of the Outer Banks, and her closest friend and trusted personal assistant, Denise Hall of Moyock.

In keeping with her wishes, Harriet will be laid to rest in a simple, private burial in her hometown of Norfolk. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, enduring wit, and the deep bonds she shared with those closest to her.
