He was predeceased by: his parents, Margie Clements Lee and Richard Vernon Lee. He is survived by: his significant other Monnie Johnson Thompson; his partner's son William A. Thompson (Dawn) of Raleigh; his brother R. V. Lee (Paula) of Myrtle Beach; and his aunt Naomi Lee Conley of Supply. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home, Inc. (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
