He was predeceased by: his wife Dena. He is survived by: his granddaughter Ashley Geelhoed; his children, Douglas Geelhoed, Ronald Geelhoed (Kimberly), Thomas Geelhoed (Linda), James Geelhoed (Melissa) and Jerald Geelhoed; his grandchildren, Deanna Geelhoed, Austin Geelhoed (Maria), Jessica Geelhoed, Emily Eikenhout (Steve), Matthew Geelhoed, Cyndee Van Der (Greg), Sarah Truax (Nick), Scott Geelhoed (Emily), Connor Geelhoed, Evan Geelhoed and Johanna Geelhoed; his great grandchildren, Amma, Genevieve, Hazel, Avery, Bennett, Mabel, Kenley, Alexis, Rohnan, Levi, Liam and Evelyn; his sisters, Marcene Vriesenga and Joan Cool (Denny); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Diemer, Shirley Diemer and Linda Diemer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brookside Christian Reformed Church (3600 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508).
