Harold Eugene Carter, age 92, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born on February 14, 1934, in Cedar Grove, he lived a life defined by quiet service to his country, his community, and his family.
Harold served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career as a mailman with the United States Postal Service. A dedicated farmer who cared deeply for the land, he was also an active and faithful member of his church, where he served as a Deacon, taught the adult Sunday School class, and held the position of church clerk.
Above all, Harold cherished his family. For 67 years he shared a loving marriage with his wife, Lavaune. He is survived by his son, David Carter and wife Susan; his daughter, Ann Clay and husband Scott; grandchildren Austin Clay and wife Kelci, and Sarah Carter (Logan Ellis); and great-grandchildren Bentley, Lucian, Caroline, and Brayden. He also leaves behind his sister, Louise Cox and husband Don. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Norine Carter, his brother Charles Carter, and his infant brother Curtis Carter.
