Harlan Reckart ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Cremation & Burial Society - Greater Canton Area on Mar. 9, 2026.In loving memory, we announce the passing of Harlan Kenneth Reckart Sr. (age 93) on March 3, 2026 (Brook Park, OH).He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta (Lest) of 59 years, son Ronald Sr. (Karen), parents Okey and Cora (Hauger), brothers Darwin Shaffer, and Delbert, James, Playford, Dailey, William, Donal, Herbert, Floyd and Otis Reckart.He is survived by sons, Harlan Jr. (Jeri), David (Deborah) and Timothy (Diana), and grandchildren Ronald Jr., Marilyn, Lawrence, Christen, Anthony, Rebecca, Stacey, Stephanie, Melinda, Angelica, Kenneth and Thomas. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, and companion Onilee Martin.He proudly served in the U.S. Army (SP2) in the 326th Engineer Battalion with the 101st Airborne Division (1954-1957), and the 33rd Infantry Division (1949-1952).A Veteran Memorial Service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 am.Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
