He attended college in Bangalore and continued his studies at Mysore Medical College. He then emigrated to Canada and the United States to pursue his calling as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He started his private practice in Marion, Indiana and then Fort Wayne where he retired after a 45-year career. He was a beloved physician and skilled surgeon with a loving bedside manner, passion for delivering babies (over 10,000), and an advocate for healthcare for all. He was known for his refined way of dressing and filling any room with a smile. He always enjoyed supporting family, friends, and his community. He prioritized philanthropic matters. His firm spiritual beliefs provided the foundation for his life. Despite his accomplishments, one quality that always remained at the forefront was his humility. Dr. Ram leaves behind the love of his life, Indira, children, Tanuja, Tilak, and Tarini, and their families. He found immense joy in spending time with his family, and their grief in losing their pillar is offset by their gratitude for his pivotal presence in their lives.
