Hannelore B. "Hanne" Weyermann

January 13, 1938 March 12, 2026

Laguna Hills, CA

Hannelore B. Weyermann passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Orange County, California, at the age of 88. Born on January 13, 1938, in Wesermünde, Germany, she was the daughter of Karl and Johanne Mausehund. In 1956, she married Rolf Hermann Peter Weyermann in Bremerhaven, Germany, and the couple moved to Long Beach, California, in 1957. Together they shared a remarkable 70-year marriage and raised three sons, Andreas, Thomas, and Bruce, while cherishing their grandson, Alex.

Hannelore was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose intelligence and determination defined her life. While raising her three children, she completed college and skillfully managed her family’s finances. For twenty years she served as a teacher’s assistant in the Los Angeles School District, working with children with intellectual disabilities. Though proud of her German heritage, she embraced her new American identity and insisted on speaking English at home, while still sharing her cultural roots through family visits to Alpine Village and the Phoenix Club. She served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and took great pride in all three sons achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Her adventurous spirit brought joy to her family through outings to Long Beach’s Ports of Call, road trips in a small Datsun pickup with a camper shell to parks, monuments, national parks, and historic sites, and later, cruises and travels around the world with Rolf. Wherever she went, Hannelore connected easily with others, listening with genuine curiosity and sharing stories from her rich life. She leaves behind her husband Rolf, sons Andreas and Bruce, and beloved grandson Alex, who will carry her warmth, intelligence, and love in their hearts forever.
