May 29, 1940 March 12, 2026

Jacksonville, IL

Hallie Kay Wollenschlager, 85, of Jacksonville, passed away on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on May 29, 1940, in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of Dean and Virginia (Carmean) Heberling. A 1958 graduate of Jacksonville High School, Hallie went on to attend cosmetology school and spent more than 60 years as a beautician. She took great pride in her work, teaching at local beauty schools and generously sharing her talent and passion with others. In 1998, she retired to The Villages, Florida, where she fully embraced the active community, enjoying dancing, golfing, and countless social activities. She later returned to Jacksonville to care for her mother and to be closer to family and friends.

Hallie found simple pleasures in shopping, gardening, watching Westerns and Hallmark movies, and going out for Mexican food and margaritas. She was an avid collector and cherished her time with loved ones above all else. Her greatest joy was being with her daughters and seven grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Sabre Wedeking (Rob) and grandchildren Stone and Lauren Wedeking of Colorado, and Deanika (Ryan) Schnierle and grandchildren Madeline, Medley, Grayson, Crayton, and Crawford of Bloomington. She is also survived by her double cousin, Nick (JoAnn) Carmean of White Hall. Hallie was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Virginia Heberling, and her husbands, Ramon Stone and Harold “Hal” Wollenschlager.
