Preserve forever →Haley Marie Donzella (nee Quigley)
March 16, 1996— February 25, 2026
Carlsbad, CA
Haley Marie Donzella, née Quigley, passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 29 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on March 16, 1996, in Joliet, Illinois, she later made her home in Southern California, where she found her greatest joy with sand between her toes and frequent escapes to the beaches of Mexico.
A graduate of Wilmington High School in 2014, Haley went on to attend West Virginia University, where she met her future husband, Anthony Donzella. The couple married in 2018. She later earned a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California in 2022. Her proudest achievement and deepest joy was the birth of her daughter, Cara, in 2021. Cara’s bright and outgoing spirit carries forward her mother’s light.
Haley embraced life with curiosity and adventure. She loved exploring wine regions, especially Valle de Guadalupe, and traveled extensively to the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Italy, Ireland, and Greece. At home she found pleasure in sewing projects and experimenting with new recipes to share with family and friends. She was passionate about raising awareness of lung cancer, reminding others that anyone with lungs can get the disease and encouraging early screening and detection.
She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Donzella; her cherished daughter, Cara; her parents, Tom Quigley and Tina Plunk; her sister, Julie Quigley (Jose); her parents-in-law, Mike and Wendy Donzella; her sister-in-law, Megan Donzella (Cory); her grandparents-in-law, Bud and Alma, and Nonno; along with many cousins and dear friends who will forever carry her light.
