Gwendolyn Maydale Linton

Gwendolyn Maydale Linton was born on May 1, 1934, in Jones County, Mississippi, and passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a manager in the crafts department at Walmart before retiring.

A devoted member of Park Place Baptist Church, Gwendolyn lived a quiet life centered on her faith and family. She is remembered fondly by her sons, Billy Linton of Auburn, Alabama, and Terry Linton of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, as well as her cousins, Betty Knight and Dorothy Morrison. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Matthews, and her brother, James Matthews.
